Landlord Learning Series

Understanding Rental Subsidies

Landlords and property owners have a vested interest in supporting the housing stability of their renters, and play a key role in efforts to solve homelessness in Connecticut. Several programs offer financial incentives to landlords that encourage them to rent to individuals who are experiencing homelessness or at risk of eviction.

During this webinar, landlords will learn how rental subsidies operate, and how they can incorporate subsidies into their business model. These programs and rental subsidies may be operated by the state, like UniteCT, or operated by non-profits, like our own Welcome Home Neighbor program.

This is the first of three webinars offered by Opening Doors Initiative and the United Way as part of our Landlord Learning Series, intended to equip landlords and property owners with the knowledge and resources needed to create mutually beneficial relationships between them and their tenants.
